At The Gift of Peace Counseling & Wellness, PLLC, care is tailored to individuals who appear to be “holding it all together” on the outside, but feel disconnected, overwhelmed, or emotionally exhausted internally. The Gift of Peace offers a supportive space to heal patterns, strengthen relationships, and create lives that feel more balanced and intentional.

We provide secure tele-health services to adults (21+) in North Carolina, Virginia, South Carolina & Washington, DC.

Individual

We work together to untangle anxiety, burnout, grief, confusing behavioral patterns, and self-doubt—helping you build emotional clarity and a more grounded, regulated relationship with yourself.

Couples/Family

Whether you’re navigating conflict, emotional distance, parenting stress, or trust issues, we help families understand their patterns, improve communication, and rebuild emotional safety.

MEET THE OWNER

Kaiane Thompson, LCSW, is the founder and lead therapist at The Gift of Peace Counseling & Wellness, PLLC. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from North Carolina A&T State University and a Master’s degree in Social Work from UNC Charlotte.

Kaiane works with adults who are externally high-functioning, yet internally disconnected from themselves. She focuses on helping people break out of patterns that have felt “normal” for a long time but are no longer working—especially around relationships, boundaries, and emotional overwhelm.

Kaiane’s style is warm, direct, and insight-oriented, helping clients understand their emotional world, reconnect with themselves, and create sustainable change. She utilizes various treatment modalities to include, Internal Family Systems, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, DBT and trauma informed approaches.

Board-Approved Clinical Supervisor
Providing clinical supervision for LCSWAs pursuing full licensure. Supervision focuses on clinical skill development, ethical practice, case conceptualization, professional identity, and building confidence as a therapist within a supportive and collaborative environment.
